STEIM (Studio for Electro Instrumental Music) was a trailblazing hub for electronic and experimental music. Since the 1960s, it has been pushing the limits of music and technology. In 2019 STEIM celebrated its fifty year anniversary with a festival.

The announcement spread throughout Amsterdam on posters. The number '50' comes to life through a timeline of pictures from STEIM's archive. The shiny gold shows represents the golden anniversary, and the fine lines depict the small welds in technological chips of electronic instruments.
